The courses offered in the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV) include undergraduate courses of study that are subject to admission restrictions on a local basis offered by German state higher education institutions (see also Requirements).
Courses offered by higher education institutions having a church or private funding body or higher education institutions of art, theatre or music are not part of the courses offered in the dialogue-oriented service procedure. In addition, applications for courses of study that are restricted on a federal basis like medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacy may not be submitted via the application portal of the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV).
The total number and the composition of the courses offered in the dialogue-oriented service procedure may vary depending on the term as the higher education institutions entrust the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung as of each procedure anew with the coordination of the application process for a certain list of courses of study.
If you want to get an idea of the diversity of the courses offered even before applying, you may either have displayed the present offer on the application portal of the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV) or you make use of the comfort of a superordinate course database such as www.studienwahl.de or www.hochschulkompass.de, to get an overview and thus be able to select your desired courses of study directly on the application portal of the dialogue-oriented service procedure (DoSV) within the following application process.
Please note in this regard, that the higher education institutions may add various courses offered even after the beginning of the application phase on a large scale so that a complete or comprehensive offer may often not be available until the second half of this phase.
